Thank you to everyone for their involvement in the Donges Bay PTO. We wanted to share a recap of everything our PTO has accomplished in the 2024/25 school year thanks to your help.
Planned & executed our DIY fundraiser, Fun Run, which allowed us to fund everything listed below
COMMUNITY BUILDING
Hosted a Carnival with games, photo booth, face painting, cake walk, candy bar, raffles and auction
Hosted a FREE Glow Party with DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts and glow gear
Hosted 2 BINGO nights with prizes
Hosted Donuts with Dad breakfast
Hosted Mornings with Mom breakfast
Planned day off of school meet-ups at Marcus Movie Theatre & Skateland and subsidized a portion of each students admission
Hosted a Book Fair and used all proceeds to purchase over 560 books to donate to classrooms and ICC
Funded Field Day with an inflatable obstacle course and ice cream truck treats for all students & staff
Planned & Executed an All School Service Project, TEAM Day:
1,236 lbs. donated to Ozaukee Family Sharing Pantry
200+ books donated to Next Door Milwaukee's Books for Kids Program
Planted wetland plant plugs at Mequon Nature Preserve
Made & donated over 70 pet toys and 24 cat beds for the Ozaukee Humane Society
Funded busing for 3rd-5th graders to complete their service projects
Funded performance by Milwaukee Flyers to celebrate end of 2nd Trimester
Purchased ice cream to celebrate the first eagle team meeting and donuts for the last eagle team meeting
Planned and donated $1,000 to the 5th Grade Celebration activities which included:
Comedy Sportz Show
Lock In Night
Movie Day
Meet Ups at Sunburst Tubing & Mini Golf
Yearbook Signing Party
Yard Signs & T-shirts
Planned the Spelling Bee
Awarded a $1,000 Scholarship to a Donges Bay Alumni
Provided Spirit Wear for DB community
Hosted 2 Popsicle on the Playground Summer Meet Ups
Purchased popsicles on the last day of school
CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT
Funded busing and admission for K5's First Stage field trip
Funded busing for 5th graders to attend a Marquette women's basketball game
Purchased tulip bulbs for 1st grade to plant in the courtyard
Purchased supplies for gym teachers to build a mini golf course
Purchased new math supplies for K5
Purchased a set of calming tools for every classroom
Purchased fleece for all school service project, making blankets for Ronald McDonald house
Funded a Wheelchair Basketball program during Gym Class
Funded Ko-Thi African dance program
Coordinated Art Enrichment Program and Night at the Museum
Purchased rewards for students to purchase with their eagle tickets
Purchased incentives for 1st Grade reading encouragement program
Coordinated Room Parents and K5/1st Grade Lunchroom Helpers
STAFF APPRECIATION
Hosted a Welcome Back luncheon for Teachers & Staff
Purchased lunch & dinner for Teachers during conferences Fall and Spring conferences
Provided $300 in classroom funds to each grade level Teacher & $200 to Staff members
Planned an action packed Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week that included: Lunch, Breakfast & Coffee Day, Treat Day and $50 gift cards for all 75 teachers & staff members
Provided an end of year lunch for Teachers & Staff and gifted them with a Sendik's take home meal
ADDITIONAL DONATIONS TO DONGES BAY
Regraded the Gaga Pit surface and purchased new mats
Purchased 2 additional ceiling fans for the old gym
Purchased recess ball bin
Purchased college pennants to decorate the lunch room
Purchased 2 gym parachutes
Purchased 2 lounge chairs for ICC

We would love to have more people involved in PTO! Please reach out if you have any ideas or suggestions. We are always looking for people to shadow the above chair positions and then take over.
